Automotive
The Automotive Industry has evolved into a hyper-competitive market, with automated material handling systems emerging as the preferred tool for driving down supply chain costs.
Automation typically means automated delivery, automated handling, or a combination of the two. Delivery systems convey components to or from the assembly line. A handling system entails a fully automated process in itself. Frog AGVS are found in both types of automation systems.
In this demanding environment FROG technology, and the state-of-the-art supervisory system called SuperFROG, enable the customer to be in complete control: layout changes can be made ‘on the fly’ and adjusting system capacity to fluctuating volume demands is a breeze.

Electronics & Plastics
Frog has a long history in the Electronics & Plastics industry, with a multitude of available solutions for handling small, lightweight items such as totes, bins, pans and cardboard boxes. This is a high-volume industry, which means that the vehicles have to create ‘transport density’ by carrying multiple loads.
Frog’s line of products for the Electronics & Plastics market comprises vehicles with 2-, 3- and even 4-position loading decks equipped with rollers, extendable shuttles, lifting decks or combinations thereof. They can interact with powered or non-powered stations through a safe and reliable interface using optical transceivers.

Fast Moving Consumer Goods
Fast Moving Consumer Goods cover a multitude of products – soft drinks, beer, bread, milk and vegetables, for instance. And as the term suggests, these goods move fast from manufacturing to storage to retail stores. Products are typically packed in unit containers or palletized for ease of transportation. Loads range from 1,000 lbs to 10,000 lbs.
Frog has an extensive line of products for this market, from unit load vehicles to double pallet handling (with or without clamp) to forklifts. Handling devices can be rollers, chains, lift deck, etc. Other special features include sideways movements (crabbing) and high speed (up to 600 FPM) to further enhance the vehicle’s accuracy and performance.

Healthcare
Automated Transport Systems (ATS) are helping hospitals to become more efficient, while saving cost and eliminating human errors. An ATS is a turnkey transport system where the primary materials handling transport element is an AGV system designed for hospital applications. The AGVs travel between hospital floors by means of dedicated ATS elevators.
The loads carried by the AGVs consist of stainless steel carts used for different types of materials handling inside the hospital: Surgical Case Carts, Pharmacy Carts, Linen & Supplies Carts, Trash Carts, etc. Food Carts can also be transported for an on-demand delivery of hot meals on trays to patient floors.
Users regain complete control of their internal transportation flows, and know exactly where every cart is at all times!

Metals
Transportation in the Metals Industry typically entails heavy loads (from 25,000 lbs to 75,000 lbs or more), requiring specialized vehicles. This is another example of a market where Frog has extensive expertise, especially when it comes to coil handling.
Coils can be picked up ‘in the eye’ from floor rests using either a Straddle Carrier type, or a Ram-style vehicle, but also by using a Saddle type vehicle that lifts the coil from an elevated station. All of these handling options are available through Frog. Other features include all-wheel steering and hydraulic lifts to further enhance the vehicle’s accuracy and performance.

Pharmaceuticals
The Pharmaceutical Industry has some very tough standards: production orders are typically executed in batches, and tracking & tracing of these batches is of the utmost importance. The whereabouts of every item in a batch, as it makes its way through the production process and on to packing and shipping, is a non-negotiable requirement.
Frog has one of the most powerful tools in the AGV industry with its state-of-the-art supervisory system called SuperFROG. Tracking & Tracing of every single movement in the system, including timestamp of order entry, batch number, origin, destination, priority, time of completion, etc., is a standard feature.
